Recently I saw another maker claiming that his knife was Spalted Steel. Spalted Steel is a nickname that I came up with to describe the finish and process I use on my flats. Spalted Steel is a Fiddleback Forge idea, and as such you can only get Spalted Steel here at Fiddleback Forge. Anyone outside the Fiddleback Forge Family of Knifemakers claiming to have it or use it is fibbing. We do not and will not share our propriatary process.

And thats the facts.
