does spam really stand for

Spare Parts And Meat?

is it kosher?

does it use one of those little keys to open the can?

Spam is a shortened version of SPiced hAM, the original working name of the product.

Being pork I don't believe it can be kosher, can it?

It has a ring pull to open it like a beer can.

Never eaten the stuff myself, but I don't think I'd pay that much for it.

:p

Spam and Rice is good stuff. It has to be the favorite food of Hawaiians everywhere.

I went to the Spam museum earlier this year, and the cans used to have a key, but they have switched to a pull-ring as elvislives has reported.

Sad to say, but my spam days employed that twist key open..

But if a few more tell the truth,, I won't be the only that remembers,,,,
BTW,, I can't stand Spam

heck, I remeber Spam with a key, and I turn 28 in a few months. Fried Spam with rice and a lil hot sauce is fine by me. :)

I not only remember the key, I used to have an SAK to open it with.

Everybody says they don't like spam but when your hungry, theres nothing better than a slab of spam on a couple pieces of bread with mayo and sweet tea.

I'll take my Spam with a key, as well. I'm only 22, so you're not that dated! :p

Spam sandwiches with extra hot sauce on an English muffin, now that's Good Eats! :footinmou

SPAM and eggs, and SPAM and cheese sandwiches. MMMMmmmmmmmm.

Bachelor food. I remember those days well.

I also remember the key, and unwinding the strip after I got the can open, and saving the keys. More times than not, the key would be missing from a can, and it was plier time.

I haven't eaten the stuff in close to 20 years.
