It was marked as spam because of the Ebay reference number. That is a no-no. If you posted your question without the Ebay ref. # it would have been fine. As a registered user you are not allowed to sell your items on BF.C. That is reserved for Gold Members and above. Even then Ebay links are frowned upon. I suggest you read the rules of the forum before posting as to avoid problems like this in the future.

What Ken said. The post was interpreted as a for sale post as well as a question since the question could have been posed without the sales information.
As far as the question. How was the knife stored? If it was stored in a sheath, the "green slime" came from a reaction with the leather. (More properly with the caustic hemicals used to tan the leather.)
