Spam, spam and more spam

Anyone notice a huge increase in spam in certain forum areas ... the Gallery, in particular. I end up reporting at least a couple a day. Back in September of last year, Spark indicated that the new forum software would eliminate this stuff. Seems (at least to me) to have increased. I know that a nominal registration fee ($1) was frowned upon (in that same September post), but what about some type of approval process for new registrations (though that might be a huge increase in work for mods). In the meantime, will keep reporting what I see.

We've actually doubled up on spam protection at the registration level yet they are still coming in. I may add another captcha layer
