Or if you have a costco membership you can go in and get a wave+mini maglite for the same price.

Sorry -- I know it wasn't your own sale you were advertising -- but if we allowed that kind of post on Bladeforums we would be overrun with them.

I didn't see the first post, but Spam is a staple of my diet. It's good. I have one usable hand right now so I'll leave it at that...for now. :D

Neither did I. Here in Japan, spam is kinda luxarious food. It costs 6 dollars for a half pound can...

Dude that's outrageous!! I would shrivel up and die there. I like katsu, takoyaki, etc., but I gotta have my Spam after a while. You should take a trip to Guam and pick some up sometime... if you like it. There's really good food on Guam too. Nice beaches even though I don't care for the beach...:)

Anyone heard of Spam sushi? I haven't tried it, but it sure looked appetizing on TV.

I don't think that I've seen spam sushi, but we have what's called spam musubi (probably the same or similar) down here. It's extremely popular. It's a slice of spam placed on a block of rice (same size as the spam but thicker) and then wrapped with nori (seaweed). Depending on who makes it, sometimes scrambled eggs are added in there. I haven't eaten it in over a decade, but it sells very well down here.

WrongFriend--yeah, I have a friend who goes to Japan every once in awhile and her family up there ask her to bring Spam. I was a little surprised at that.

Ah the life of the displaced American... I grew up in Missouri with American food, so back when I lived in Hong Kong, my father would pick up beef jerky, chili making powder, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Hamburger Helper and the best of all, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups whenever he went on a business trip to my junk-food-spiritual homeland, the good old USA. :)

We didn't have a problem with Spam though, since similarly canned "luncheon meat" seems to be even more popular with Chinese people than Spam is with Americans. Truth is, I find it to be mildly disgusting. Turkey Spam, on the other hand, rocks!

Musubi is the best snack ever! I can eat a whole can like that. Turkey Spam is good too, it tastes like "Jenny-O Turkey Loaf", another fine meat product if you can find it.

Spam Musubi! That's it!!! When my wife and I saw it, I said "Yum" and she said "Yuck". Next trip to Hawaii I'lll have it in my checklist to try. I've had rice, eggs and Spam for breakfast several times, but Musubi seems quite appetizing and in a handy package to boot.

Sorry. I did not know what I posted would be considered spam or advertising since I do not own or work for the store I posted about. I just wanted to share what I thought was a screaming deal (about $10 cheaper than the next best price I've seen) on an item many of my fellow members might want. I won't do it any more
