I don't think that I've seen spam sushi, but we have what's called spam musubi (probably the same or similar) down here. It's extremely popular. It's a slice of spam placed on a block of rice (same size as the spam but thicker) and then wrapped with nori (seaweed). Depending on who makes it, sometimes scrambled eggs are added in there. I haven't eaten it in over a decade, but it sells very well down here.Originally posted by grnamin
Anyone heard of Spam sushi? I haven't tried it, but it sure looked appetizing on TV.
Ah the life of the displaced American... I grew up in Missouri with American food, so back when I lived in Hong Kong, my father would pick up beef jerky, chili making powder, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Hamburger Helper and the best of all, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups whenever he went on a business trip to my junk-food-spiritual homeland, the good old USA.Originally posted by WrongFriend
Neither did I. Here in Japan, spam is kinda luxarious food. It costs 6 dollars for a half pound can...
