Anybody seen a huge rise in spam passing through Anti-spam filters as of last week? My company uses about 5 different engines on our corporate email servers (AntiGen, Symantec, Norman et al.) and these buggers just sailed through. :grumpy:

(It takes about a week before the new definitions arrive / server to be tweaked, so I have to admit; those who write these emails are pretty clever.)

yeah, the filter guys are always one step behind the spammers (may all spammers be afflicted by a painful case of the clap).

Much of spam today comes from China , they're really learning the benefits of the free world !! Hot stock tips and viagra - wow !

Is that after they've recuperated from their p3n!s-extension operation, that they loaned money for (only 2% interest) or after using some V1agr@ and Cial!s :D

I get about 5 a day in my GMail account, but the GMail filter is pretty solid. Haven't had one in my inbox in a long time.

My Hotmail account gets slammed, though. 15 a day, half of which beat the filters.

It depends.

I have noticed that Juno has a top notch filter. No spam gets through. Ever.

Well, except for official Juno approved spam. But it's never much.

My gmail account gets 3-8 spam messages a day, though.
