Probably just someone who contacted you through your email in a post or through the forum. It has happened to me several times & I haven't had any problems with it. Met a few new knife-folk that way.
There is one ebay seller who sends me an email every time he has a new Schrade that he lists.
It just keep building as you get the "rep" of being a Schrade knife guy.
Now the manager of the local cutlery store calls me when he gets in an interesting used Schrade, or to ask how much he should pay for one.
