hey guys!

alright tell me what you think.

i took it out today to do a little cutting, it rode nice on the belt, i was pleasantly surprised i figured it would weight me down more.

the sucker goes in and out of the sheath perfectly, nice and easy to operate the snaps open and closed with one hand.

sorry the pics aren't the best. i don't know of any macro settings on the iphone.

i think that thing would sure enough do some cutting! I like it a bunch, great handle shape, something often overlooked.

I like it.
Comfortable looking handle for chopping. Actually the entire knife looks very fit for purpose and
good looking to boot.

Thumbs up here on everything from the blade finish to the handle and the sheath

Sweet "mustard finish" there... (is that a mustard finish patina there?) Great knife and that top-flap sheath is very nice. I kinda forgot about that configuration for my Kukris.

Very, very cool.

Thanks guys. Actually the finish is done by dabbing on cold blue then soaking in bleach. Lather rinse. Repeat.
It's a sweet finish for knives that are going to take a beating

Very nice chopper - I like the blade shape and the finish. Looks tough and looks good.

thanks guys.

this sheath was definitely a learning experience. i think the next one will come out super nice, without spending about 10 hours on it.

I THINK THAT I WANT IT lol lol lol , your handles are the best , i'm sure this is a great one, it sure looks it.

thanks guys. this handle style just melts in your hand, any which way you hold it (same handle as the hunters i make, it feels great in any grip)

this would run $600

mods please pm me if you don't want me to quote a price on the thread.

This one came out pro, man. The entire package including the sheath is spot-on. Awesome!

Hey, that's nice. I've never heard of that type of finish. Going to have to play with that, as it just might be more durable than the mustard finish I've been using on my kitchen knives. Also, I didn't notice, maybe I'm blind, but what steel is that? And I think that is a very good price, I'm sure you've sold it by now.

Make more. -M

Thanks Matt,

Michael, the finish is super durable. it's a little rough, but it takes a beating, from cutting all kinds of stuff to in and out on kydex sheaths, you have no clue it's ever been handled months later.

when you apply the cold blue, do it like you would with the mustard, then let it dry (i use a heat gun to keep the blade dry and warm) then you can suspend the whole thing in bleach for about 10 minutes. scrub with steel wool, then clean and dry it. you'll see the spots where it started to really eat in, and then the high shiny spots. repeat the blue and bleach. i usually go about 3 times. then you can leave it dark, or hit it with some 1500 grit to brighten the high spots. the effect is different depending on the steel too. A2 doesn't seem to etch as well, O1 is pretty cool, this blade is 5160 and it was very consistent even etch.

let me know how it works out for you man
