This was made by Muela in Spain. Unfortunately the previous owner stored it under some very bad conditions. It has some cosmetic flaws, but nothing that would stop it being used for its intended purpose. I have shown both sides of the sheath, which is stained, but still sturdy and servicable. Storage was so poor that the excellent chrome-moly blade actually started to pit. I have shown the worst of it on both sides of the blade.
A good man with a belt grinder could probably clean this up in a few minutes.
If I could keep it, I would also replace the handle with some sexy hardwood.
As it is, it's a scary knife...supposedly made as a boar hunting knife.
The flattened diamond cross section and width of the blade allow it to take a good edge, so it will cut as well as poke holes.
