Guys n' gals, I was wondering if you can buy (from anywhere), just the handle kits for the standard Esee line?

I was after a set of ORANGE slabs for my E-4CP.

Any help appreciated.

...would not mind some orange ones for the izula too! never seen those however...

That would be nice to be able to buy extra handle slabs. You could customize it and switch out the handles from micarta to g10 and different colors, etc.

Silly question but why can't you buy them? People seem to ask often on this forum for spares or other colors.

each set of scales are individually fitted to each knife, replacement scales wouldnt have the same fit as factory ones.

you can find G10 knife scale blanks on ebay if you look and they come 5'' long and anywhere from 1 3/8'' to 1 3/4'' wide and 1/8'' to 1/4'' thick you could just get those and make your own set I am thinking about getting a black 4 and making my own orange scales because I prefer black and orange to OD and orange

+1 to all above however be cautious when working G10. Epoxy and fiberglass vapors/dust cant be healthy.....

are you saying they're installed by hand?.. even if so scales must all be made via the same molds, jigs, and such and separate of the knife...if I swap mine with a friends you're saying they are not interchangeable?..my factory fit handles require a little influence to install, so not like they're all perfectly fit to begin with...just trying to understand, I think offering them is a good idea, ty

I only assumed that they were machined to suit a particular hole pattern, therefore were possibly interchangable...I think if Esse sold handle kits (providing they did fit the knife 'blanks'), I would most certainly buy the differing colours/types.

They're fitted to each knife. The hole patterns do match, and I've swapped several. But the fit is not as seamless as stock knives.
If you look, you can see the overlap and gaps.
