Spark: Atttempted to purchase Gold Membership

I tried to sign up for a gold membership but after entering my card information I was told that there was a mismatch for my card number and address. I tried twice and gave up.

So tonight I was checking my electronic card information when I found:

I have a charge from onestopknifeshop for $25 and no confirmation emails, no change in my membership no nothing... Is this how the gold membership charge should show up?

Can anyone explain what is going on please?

The same thing happened to me. My bank had an additional address on my check card. It was giving me an AVS mismatch.

ETA The bank puts a hold because they have authorized the charge although One stop knife shop didn't validate....Call your bank.
 
I'll give that a shot, thanks for the reply. I've tried two cards again, for some reason this just isn't working. Called my bank and there is only one address to my primary card, and that's the address I'm using. Any chance of getting my membership through paypal? I'll pay the extra fees... Maybe someone with some authority is listening to my plea :)
 
I have also had this same problem with two different cards. I'll be interested to see if there is a resolution to the issue.
 
Chuka - this is the error we got both times on your transaction:
Transaction Status: Declined (Authorization with the card issuer was successful but the transaction was declined due to an address or ZIP code mismatch with the address on file with the card issuing bank based on the settings in the Merchant Interface.)

Your bank has a different billing address than what you entered. Please contact them to get that resolved.

Thanks Spark for the response, I'm going to try again. I called the banks and confirmed that the address I provided is the one they have on file, so I'm giving it another go. Thanks for the help!
 
I still have a pending charge from yesterday, I'm assuming I won't be charged twice...? Thanks!
 
It's just an authorization hold, it'll come off in a couple days
 
Hate to be such a pain but I've paid and got my reciept but no gold membership... I read in FAQ that it is automatic...

Settings > Group Display (or whatever it's called) > Change it to Gold
