Spark,

I wanted to alert you to some serious cross-forum flaming going on in a particular thread, in "Prac Tac":
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=609024

where one member in particular is being allowed to blast a site and their members repeatedly:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6335057&postcount=6
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6335718&postcount=13
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6335740&postcount=15
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6340325&postcount=49

Thanks,
3G

Yeah, what crossada said. Spark doesn't always have time to come in here and answer directly.
The report post button is right there so you can contact a MOD about.

Obviously there is another agenda going on here.

I'm making sure that Spark is aware of cross-forum flaming that is going on. And since no moderators in that area saw fit to stop it, I thought I'd bring it to Spark's attention.

why not use the report post button?

It is quite obvious that neither of you chaps bothered to read the thread, for if you had, you would have seen that a moderator was participating in the discussion and was allowing it to continue. Now, I ask you concerned gentlemen, what good would come from 'reporting' the offensive posts to a moderator if the moderator was allowing it to continue?

Thank for your input.

After perusing, seems to me like all Brian has done is to make an effort to keep that thread on track. I don't visit the other forums so I cannot comment on the cross forum thing, but the moderator in question is doing a very good job, IMO.

3G, it works because all the other mods see the reported post as well, and supermods can make a decision, and decide on action if further action is warranted.

For the most part, as a subforum mod, I am trying to let the supers take the action in that forum more now, but because that forum has no moderator directly assigned, I may take action in extreme cases still. Sometimes the supermods miss a lot of threads unless they are reported, so please continue to use it when you feel it is warranted.

dttomcat, thanks for the kind words. But I should not have continued this flame process by starting a new thread, so I can see why 3G felt he had to take other action.

I agree that Brian does a great job, and this thread was not intended to be an attack on him or his abilities. As a member of the other place, I just felt that a certain member here was allowed to make repeated, negative comments, about all of the members of that forum, that were way out of line and in blatant violation the rules of these forums (BFC).

It might have helped if you had mentioned that you already reported the thread in the first place.
I had not read any of the mentioned threads and was making a suggestion from what info you had given us.

Mike, it's cool. Based on my past experience with him, I have always found that 3Guardsmen really tries to look out for the good of Bladeforums and cares about things running smooth here. Even if I might disagree with him on some things (and I can't recall when I didn't), he has shown himself to genuinely look out for the good of all of us here. We all try to do the best we can to make things better, and i believe that was his motivation here.

It's all good. I've had my differences with 3G in the past, but I hold no ill will towards him.
I was just making myself clear as to why I gave the response I did.
No worries from me.

Brian,
Thanks for the kind words. I assure you that the respect is mutual.

I've got one for you, J. Lightning! There were no disagreements there.:D

Thanks, Mike. We've had our differences, but you're alright in my book (can't see how a Kershaw fan wouldn't be).:)
