Spark, I lost my post.

Spark,

I lost a lengthy post I had authored in political forums today just before 3:30pm. I finished the post, and clicked Submit Reply, and I was taken to the unauthorized warning page. It also said I wasn't logged in, but I had logged in when I got to the webiste.

Is there a way to retrieve this? The thread was "Why I'm No Longer A Libertarian," in the political forums.

Nope. Short of hitting the back button and hoping it's there.
 
Strange.

But, had you hit BACK immediately, your post would have been there. You could then have opened a new browser window, logged in, gone back to the first and posted.

Why weren't you logged in? Some sort of cookie issue I suspect. Unlike some sites, your bf.c login cookie does not expire after a short amount of time. So, it must not have gotten set correctly or some other program over-wrote it.
 
Unless, of course, you didn't have the "remember me" box checked when you last logged in.

Even with that, however, it's possible that your cookie became corrupted somehow...
