Good afternoon moderators, I hope this finds you well. I had a gold member account as Wooly Buger since July 2011. Back in November or early December I was in the process of changing my email, my forum name, and my membership level so that I could start selling my knives when I hit a snag. Upon entering my new email address I never received the confirmation email to confirm it (checked spam, junk folder, etc). When I tried to log on it would not let me without confirming my new email. I was in a catch 22 as it were nor could I change it back to my original email address.

Since I couldn't log in I couldn't pm or post for assistance so I asked another forum member, via email, to pm a mod but I never heard back from anyone at BFC. Setting up a new account was my only option. So to my question, how do I go about logging in as wooly bugger, change my email and forum name so that I can subscribe as a knifemaker/service provider? Thank you in advance for your time and attention.

Edit to add - I would like to keep my old account but change the name in order to keep my feedback. I've bought and sold a great deal of knives and gear as wooly bugger and I have gone to great strides to maintain 100% positive feedback.

You will need to prove ownership of the other account in order for them to be merged together. Did you try to reset the password? What happened to the old email address? Could you have typed it in incorrectly, which is why there is no confirmation?

I looked at your profile and it seems that you are stuck in a "Awaiting Confirmation Email" group. Spark is the only one with the ability to make that change, so at least now we know what the issue is. I understand now. What should happen is your old account needs a name change. The fee for the name change is $10.

Thanks rev, I'm glad there's hope. I know spark has a lot on his plate right now and I'm in no hurry. I just wanted to see if there was a way to salvage my old account before I proceeded with a knifemaker subscription under this one. I'll stand by for him to unlock the wooly bugger account, when he gets a chance, before proceeding with the name change. Best regards as always.

No worries, it happens, especially when software changes/upgrades happen. Spark was working and spending time and money into fixing issues that were bewildering to a lot of the techs that normally deal with databases. Things seem much, much better now. In the mean time, keep this bumped or at least on the first page and it will catch his attention. I admit I was reading your first post completely wrong, but it can be resolved.

I've sent email activation codes again, check your spam folder. If you don't get them, we'll have to take alternate measures.
 
Still nothing. Can we just change it back to the original email? I never had any problems with it other than it doesn't link to my phone. Thanks in advance Spark.
 
Ok, here's what's going to have to happen. Email me from the address you used to purchase the currently active membership associated with the Wooly Bugger account. We're going to have to update the email address active in that account, merge the two accounts, then change the name. This is going to incur the standard service fee for the name change.

Spark, please review this thread and tell me what we need to do. It's been almost a year and nothing. I'd like to sell my knives here but I'm not buying a knifemaker subscription unless I can do it under wooly bugger due to my collective feedback under that profile.

Ok. Tilley Knife has been merged into Wooly Bugger. Wooly Bugger has been name changed to Tilley Knife. You should have access to the Tilley Knife profile now with the daniel.tilley@chathamsheriff.com email address. If you don't, call me at 502-671-5510
