When you see something thats not true in a thread , how can you reply with out being singled out , and get an infraction or worse ? Thanks for your time .

Just say, I don't believe that's true. If you have evidence for your view, that's even better. As long as you don't mock the poster personally, you're OK. But saying, that's stupid or you're an idiot is a violation.

Its all in the attitude.

I don't know what you are talking about. It helps if you are specific

If it's a factual statement that's questionable or wrong, just ask for clarification or offer a correction. Do so in a way which is polite an questions the fact, not the poster. Keep in mind that we all make mistakes. So, correct someone else's mistake the way that you want someone else to correct you next time you make a mistake.

Poster A: The capitol of Oregon is Portland.

Poster B: Are you sure? Where did you find that information?

Poster C: While Portland is the largest city in Oregon, the capitol of Oregon is actually Salem. You can see that on the State's website www....

Poster A made a factual mistake. Poster B questioned it. Poster C corrected it. And there's are no infractions there.

If it's a matter of opinion that you disagree with, then state your own opinion, but be sure that you state it as your opinion. Be respectful of the other person. Basically, disagree with someone else as you would like others to disagree with you. (If that sounds like something your mother tried to teach you, then you had a good mother.)

Poster A: Everyone loves the Sebenza.

Poster B: You may love the Sebenza as many people do. But, I, for one, find it ugly. I don't like the boxy design.

Poster A expressed his opinion. He over-stated it, true. Poster B gently disgreed with it. There's no infractions here either.

How do you know it's the same gun? I assume you mean G-2's thread? It doesn't look like a beater to me, and G-2's not known as a fibber.

Spark, a link.

Link up the thread.

Did you contact the seller first with your reservations about the item? A sale thread is different from a discussion thread. You have to speak about it in FEEDBACK, not the thread itself, no matter what.

But always check with the other person before giving negatives in FEEDBACK and try to resolve it privately first.

Hi Spark, glockman99, Esav or whomever sees this,
Wired45 and I have had an ongoing conflict for over the last 3.5 years. My question is how to get this gentlemen who is known for his dishonesty, to quit behaving in a way that violates the Bladeforums TOS (he has already been banned once that I know of), and he's been warned on Glocktalk.com about this exact issue with this exact gun. I have had the same problem with this guy before here on bladeforums. The gun was purchased from wired45 and it was sold to me as a gun that was a safe queen and with less than 500 rounds. That is how I've listed it, the pictures speak for themselves, and I have what I would consider a stellar reputation here from both sales and purchases. I can't say the same for wired45.

So please folks direct me at how best to handle this. For us it is strait harassment.

Isn't a mech tec conversion a completely different slide assembly & barrel that turns the pistol into a rifle? If that's the case, none of the wear associated with the mechtec would be on the pistol itself.

G2, I'd just take a bunch of pictures of the internals and show that there's little / no wear. Glocks are just about foolproof anyhow, it's simple to replace anything on them except for buying a new frame.

We believe you're correct on the rifle conversion system. Pictures are below. For some perspective we've used the 1st Generation Glock 17 we own in the top on the shots, the bottom (noticeably larger) Glock 21 Slide, Glock 21 body inards first, then the Glock 17 innards, then the barrel. The 17 is a regular carry weapon and has easily had 18,000 round through it. You'll notice the 21 slide has a sheen to it. It is dry with nothing on it, un-scarred Tenifer finish on/in steel, you'll also notice with a close look some of the original bronze lube used by the factory, that was left by the original owner even after a clean out.

Sorry the pictures aren't the best but they're sufficient...

g-2, if he said it was a safe queen and now is saying it wasnt, then he LIED to you from the start. thats the way i see it at least. i agree with ren that he should walk the plank. that would solve quite a few problems quickly.

Richard, your logic is absolutely sound, he either lied then, or he's lying now, either way...

Pictures posted...

Doesn't look like a beater to me. Wired45, do you have a rebuttal?

i have seen a few glocks apart and the one in question looks like its hardly seen any use to me and well worth the asking price. if the gun had been shot over 2000 rounds as stated by wired 45, there would be considerable wear that would be visible. to me, neither gun shown looks like it has been shot much.
