Spartan blades Satin Black Ti/Nitride Finish

Hello my blade smith, I had a quick question regarding Spartan blades Satin Black Ti/Nitride Finish and CTS XHP steel. I wanted to know if the coating provides any corrosion resistance and if CTS XHP is prone to corrosion. If any of you could give some insight it would be greatly appreciated

CTS HXP is a stainless steel with high chromium. It is highly corrosion resistant.
The finish is mostly cosmetic, but does provide some added protection.

Okkk, I’m im only asking because s45vn is supposed to be more corrosion resistant but one of my Spartan blades with s45 corroded even though it has a coating. Do you think frog lube is good and do you think I should apply it to my knife
