Spartan Blades steel choice

Any rumors floating around about Spartan knives jumping on the magnacut bandwagon? I'm interested in both their fixed and folding blades.
As I understand it, it would offer increased toughness and corrosion resistance at the cost of some edge retention compared to the S45VN being used now.
 
Or is the consensus that the S45VN performs well enough? Even for the larger fixed blades like the Difensa?
