Looking for experiences that people may have had with the spartan blades knife company. I am looking into a knife throgh them and there are few reviews out there so I am hoping for some feedback.

If you are a Quiet Professional or newly enlisted (18x MOS) looking to be one you should check out the Professional Soldiers.com forums. The guys from Spartan and Bill Harsey spend a lot of time posting info there and you could see reviews from guys that really use their knives.

I have a few of their knives and really like their designs. Fit and finish, and materials are excellent. I'm a pretty light user so would not be qualified to give any type of hard use assessment. As as far as the company, I don't think you could go wrong. I've called and talked with them a couple of times about a couple of their designs and availability - also have had email inquiries replied to in a very timely manner. The guys have a high level of commitment to the quality of their products and to their customers, are very personable, easy to talk with, and down to earth. Mike

What is "Quiet Professional" and "18x MOS"?

18X Enlistment Option is not MOS but SF candidate.

Sorry to get sort of off-track, but since it was brought up: there are quite a few enlistment candidates (18X) that frequent the forum. It's also open to combat support and combat service support MOSs that serve in SFGs.

They are solid. Buy 2 of them.

Im actually wanting a few as in most lol
I want the phrike for sure
Cqb tool looks sweet as well
I like some of the others but they are very expensive which is out of reach for me atm sadly

Phrike is a great choice. Narrow, thin, very light (4.2 ounces) and with a 4.25" blade (S35VN) good enough for most applications.

I gave my son a Horkus when he graduated from Basic Training in 2009. I told him that it was a tool to be used and not put away in a drawer. He carried and used it heavily during seven months deployed in the Pech Valley and when I got it back it still retained the factory ground edge and it will still shave hair off of my arm. This is one of their earlier knives made of S30V. They now use S35VN steel which should provide even better service.
Shortly after that, I decided to stock them for sale in my shop.
You will not be disappointed with any of their products.
Mark and Curtis are genuinely nice people and a pleasure to work with.

The Phrike would be my choice.

It is nice to hear from someone who has worked with them
The business is also a part of the product which makes it nice knowing the staff is quality as well

I've been on this forum for some time now, and have purchased a lot of knives which I use for various purposes, mostly hunting. Gutting and cleaning hogs takes the most toll on a knife, at least in my world, which is Texas. I recently purchased a Spartan HORKOS blade made in S35V steel and of all the blades I have, this is the one. The handle, the feel, the edge retention, the whatever is BEYOND. I would recommend it for our troops, wherever you may go.

I own a Phrike. Fit and finish is excellent, customer service is excellent, heat treat is excellent, sheath is excellent. I also really love the thought that goes into the end use of each knife's design in the spartan lineup. Buy one, you won't regret it.

Im thinking this knife is my next knife
All black maybe? I dont want it flashy/shiny or easily visible at all since it would be conceal carry

I am new to concealed carrying fixed blades, and had some trouble with comfort carrying vertically IWB with the Phrike, but that was just me. I will be using this knife mostly for camp chores and wood work on backpacking trails (I build trails for a living) Hope this helps.
