Spartan Harsey vs Buck Nighthawk 650

I'm interested in the Buck Knighthawk 650 (6.5" x 1/4" thick in 420HC). How does it compare to the Spartan Harsey Fighter? They seem very similar in shape, size, and style. Any experience? Thanks!

I’m pretty sure the Nighthawk was discontinued, might be hard to find one. I’ve never handled one but a 1/4 of Buck’s 420hc would leave me confident in its intended use. I’ve handled the Spartan and liked it, very comfortable in my hands and well done. Wish I could be of more help to you.

also have both of those. the Buck is very thick stock and hollow ground. not what i would call a great slicer. I collect them.and have lots of examples, but I wouldn't call it a great user knife for many tasks.


I wouldn't consider them similar really other than being marketed as fighting knives.....
