Spartan Movie

Does anyone recognize or know what knife is shown in the movie Spartan with Val Kilmer. It is claimed to be a East German knife, but I don't think so.

He never claims that the knife is East German, just that he got it off an East German fella

Don't know what the knife is, but I love the movie. Seen it four or five times now.

"Nice knife."
"Yeah, got it off an East German fella."
"He give it to you for a gift?"
"No. As I recall, he was rather reluctant to part with it."

Made right here in Tucson. After I get a BM43, Spyderco Endura or Police, and a Spyderfly, I hope to get one (probably next year at this rate). The problem (other than my lack of money) is that they are only available with a tanto blade. The "Spartan" model (drop point) costs twice as much ($500!).

i hope they come down in price on the spearpoint and don't care to much for serrations. but they do make good strong knives.
