Well, I keep sayin it, and it's remains very true that I will be getting an sng in the nearest possible future. But, that knife will be one of my edc users. As for my little collection, I am wondering what knife should come next. Currently my non-user tactical "collection" consists of a plain 806, combo commander, and a basic civilian. I like the idea of having one of the greatest/classic knives per company.
I am in search of opinions on what knife, from what company I should look into next. Pleases keep in mind that these knives will not be used, but collected for their, dare I say, tactical qualities. Thanks for the suggestions.

I think you should get a DDR knife and a R. Hinderer!!n And if you don't have one, a Sebbie.

Al Mar Sere 2000

or

Kershaw Boa

Either one of them would make a nice addition to your collection.

There is a Seb with a swedge, but the Boa's definitely not a tactical.
I've praised the Lone Wolf Tighe tactical folder elsewhere.
Apart from that, I collect military, not tactical knives. The Tighe doesn't come into my A-F, F-S and Randall collection, but these are classic tacticals, partly available as folders.
Otherwise, Fred Perrin has interesting non-conventional tactical ideas, classics in their own modern way if you like them.

The boa is somthing I'm gonna look into, but haven't really liked too many kershaws in the past. Leek is cool though. Tryin to stay under bout $175 too by the way, but have considered an rrf. As for the sere, I just sold one due to blade play. May have faith in a mini again someday, but too tiny for this collection.

I owned a black bladed boa for a while, and it looked pretty tactical to me.

The Sebenza is a tactical with or without a swedge, and the Boa is definitly a tactical.

I suggest a SERE 2000 for Al Mar, a Boa or Spec Bump for Kershaw, a Military or Manix for Spyderco (instead of the Civilian), a Ranger for Lone Wolf, and for Buck, any of their Strider-design knives, a Nighthawk variant, or the Mayo TNT.

Just got a black military combo edge today. Very, very nice design, but as with my sere 2000, and my buck strider (black one that looked like a real strider) they all have blade play. the buck would close with a tap, the sere wiggled just a bit after I stabbed it into a phone book, and This military is disappointing aswell. Still like the knife, but can't love it due to it's lock.(may need to send it in) Also my military is a user, and not a collectable.
I had a chinnook and wish Ida kept it, but the boa doesn't look too bad. One of kershaws best I take it? Also been looking at a full sized mt socom.
-Just don't know. -Like always.

Send it back to Spyderco.

My Military has no blade play and my stern spinewacks haven't been able to close it. You definitly didn't get a typical Military.

Hair,
does it matter that I didn't buy it from a spyderco dealer, or does the warranty follow the knife? -Thanks.

I am not sure. But I do not think the warrenty follows the knife.

Did you buy it second hand?

I still think Spyderco WOULD take care of the knife anyway. I have a Spyderco CF Military that is spectacular!!! How about checking out a Spyderco Paramilllie?!

definately an Al Mar SERE and a CQC-7, how about a spyderco Chinook and if you really want old school how bout a Buck 110
