Can anyone tell me about this one? What is it worth?
Thanks

I'm no expert, by any means, but that one looks a lit like my peter wright. Used anvils usually go for around $1-3 per pound on craigslist. Of course condition is a factor. The face on yours doesn't look too bad aside from the chip on the one corner. Kind of hard to tell though. Have you checked the rebound? You can do this by noting how well a ball bearing bounces off of it or gently tapping a hammer on it.

I haven't tested it at all. I just have an opportunity here, but it isn't close by so I can't readily test it out.

Risk goes hand in hand with opportunity. Google "what to look for when buying an anvil" and go from there. Take some bathroom scales with you and a hammer to test rebound. Use the anvils flaws as negotiation leverage and take cash. Don't be afraid to walk if the face is badly damaged or cracked.

Again, cash is king. I stole my 155lb PW for $125 due to having cash. Had to drive 2hrs to get it though

How else would you buy it with no money ?

I had something advertised once with 14 buyers and I planned to take them in turn.

One guy kept wanting to jump the line, 16 messages from him about how he had cash...

I told him I wasn't taking wooden nickels and he would have to wait his turn.
After all that, he tyre kicked and made excuses.

There is a video in the video sticky page about anvil condition and rebound.
