How'd you all come up with yours?

Some of them are pretty obvious, others not so much.

Mine ~

I have this crazy dream of being some kind of munk-like, oops I mean monk-like, Zen gardener, spending my days outside, practicing martial arts, soaking up the sun, planting beautiful landscapes, etc, etc.

In reality ... bamboo is about the only plant I can manage to keep alive.

But maybe that is before I discovered the kukri! What better tool could a zen gardener have? Yup, things are changing from here on out, millimeter by millimeter....

cheers,

~ b

"Kismet" [Turkish, from Persian qismat, from Arabic qisma, lot, from qasama, to divide, allot.]

Often defined as "fate," "Destiny," or "portion of life."

This is my portion of life.

My car.

Paint code is PZ.

Year is 1993.

C is the trim package.

Simple, right?

A Cherokee Grandmother gave me my ndn name in a ceremony several years back now.:D Fits me a lot better than my given and Christian name although I still have to use them for legalities sometimes.:grumpy:
Seems Yvsa Gigagei doesn't have a social security number.;) :D

But his aka does.:p

I'd thought about changing my name formally but with the kids and all, well it could present more problems than my satisfaction is worth.:footinmou

Mine comes from a poor translation.

I am an American of German decent and I thought that a german moniker would be interesting. I thought "life seeker" would be neat as I enjoy pursuing outdoorsy things. For some reason, I thought Kampf meant life.

Wrong.

It turns out I named myself "Battle Seeker." Damn. :grumpy:
Now I look stooopid.

mine was easy to come up with....

my parents gave it to me when I was born...

go figure?

wish they would have called me something cool...

Shane,

I'm afraid you and I seem to be somewhat lacking in imagination.

We could have been Superman or Green Lantern, the Riddler or the Penguin.

Maybe to give Munk fits, Mr. Mxyzptlk.

Cruel Howard...

I've always been "Nasty"...

.

The name thing is kind of funny to me. Growing up I was nicknamed alphabet. My real name is Virginia Eschenbacher. Now whenever you put it in the computer the last 2 letters of my first name were inevitable dropped making me Virgin Eschenbacher.......live that one down :grumpy:  :footinmou

My Chinese name is 丹 DAN1 (red) 华 HUA2 (flower or China).

A lot of people can't pronounce my chinese name well, they call me as "danwa", "WA" in Chinese is "baby or kid". Redkid? NOOOOO

I think it's easier for people to remember me and call me as "Redflower".

We could a had cool names...what were we thinking...actually using our legal identity...

I could a been IRONMAN! *big super hero fanfare*

Oh well...when I first started coming here...people thought my name was amde up...took a month to convince everybody I was areal guy...now I spend all my time trying to unconvince them. :D

Are you all ready for a boring one now?

About two years ago my life underwent a significant shift. I gave up alcohol and tobacco and began eating only healthy, natural food. My entire view of life changed. I realized that for the first time in my life, there was no one in the world who I truly hated, nor would there be - my capacity for anger was intact, but not for hatred. I felt that I could go nowhere but forward and that the quality of my life would soon be enviable.

Boy, was I wrong. :)

Needless to say, that didn't last long. I still haven't managed to hate anyone since then though. I guess that's an improvement. My coworkers tell me that I'm simply not trying hard enough.

I was exposed to the term "Satori" and it clicked, and has clicked numerous times since then. At this rate I should have life pretty much figured out by early next century. As I'm planning on living forever, this is simply a minor inconveniance.

I was using multiple handles for email accounts, online gaming, etc. Replacing them all with one term that I wouldn't quickly grow tired of was a bit of a relief. The rest sort of took care of itself. That, and whenever I'm asked about it and I'm not feeling particularly talkative, I can always blame it on Kerouac.

Mine means "Stay away from our wimmen, ya big hairy aus-lander!" in Korean (I didn't listen, but the inlaws seem okay with it as long as the neighbors don't find out). Yah-man-inn means barbarian, more or less. My wife laid that on me either in reaction to the indoor knife throwing set up, the ever-raised toilet seat or some combination thereof shortly after we started dating and she was first exposed to my humble abode. She's just about got me housebroken, but it's an uphill fight.

Sweet is my real last name, I never saw the point of making up a phony name when mine could sound like one anyways :D + is was just easier to remember when my computer crashes and I would have to recall what my screen name was

Even if your mate does get you housebroke as you call it; it is still a good idea to not just leave the seat up once in a while but too piss on it as well when you do.
It will/should really piss her off and start a great fight and that's what you want.
After a few years of marriage you need some good excitement once in a while and there's nothing like a good fight so that there can be even better making up afterwards.:D ;)

Now after reading the above go find one of Conitive Fun's posts and read his sig lines and then apply it here.
Sometimes we poke fun at our mates and they wind up taking us serious.
If they would stop doing that, taking us serious I mean, the birth rate would go way down as well.;) :p

There's a song by Less than Jake titled "Richard Allen George - no it's just Cheez". I love that song, I love cheese, and richardallengeorge or even the first part is never taken on any forum :)

Keno

I usually use Daniel W. for a handle, but it was already taken when I signed up with BladeForums.com... My choice for an alternative is one which I use on a Dominican Republic related forum; it also designates my title.
