I just bought a BATAC and need a sheath for it. I am looking at the ones by Spec-Ops and Blackhawk. Both state that they will take up to a 5.5" blade. Will either work with the BATAC?

Any other suggestions that don't involve sending the knife somewhere.

Thanks

Chuck makes a nice leather sheath . I think i have 4 or 5 you will not be disapointed

The Blackhawk won't work, it doesn't handle a blade as wide as the BATAC. Better go with the Spec Ops.

Try an Okuden sheath... Brian does a first rate job. His A7-T sheath is my personal fav..

AND, he already has a BATAC of his own to use as a template!

I have a Semper Paratus sheath on order for my BATAC. If you are looking for a tactical quality nylon/molded liner sheath Semper is highly regarded. I've read a lot of good things about Dan's workmanship and product quality. I too thought of Spec-Ops, but after doing more research I went with Semper because it is a custom sheath that will perfectly fit your BATAC. Dan has one so no need to send your knife. Sure you will pay more for it (around $60), but I think it's worth it. I hate it when a knife rattles in the sheath. Good luck with the decision.
