Anyone have any experience with the "10X Dominator"?

It's a chunk of money, but I'm considering getting one.

"This may well be the most advanced rechargeable flashlight ever made, and it certainly is the most potent law enforcement rechargeable tactical flashlight yet developed. The Dominator incorporates two independent yet merged lamp/reflector systems to provide, at a touch, either an unprecedented 500+ lumens of blinding force option light, or alternatively, 60 lumens of brilliant general illumination light. Key to its effective use in law enforcement situations is its tactically correct two stage tail cap switch system. Press lightly on the button and you get 60 lumens. Press more firmly and you get your 500+ lumens of blindingly bright light, that can be used in an instant to temporarily visually disable a suspect or to immediately see or evaluate a long range threat. The run time using the 60 lumen lamp is about 3 hours, and it drops to about 20 minutes when the flashlight is run at the 500+ lumen level.

The construction of the 10X parallels that of our other Sure-Fire flashlights. The molded portions of the body and head are of nearly indestructible aramid composite polymer and the two reflectors are precision machined from solid bars of aircraft grade aluminum, and hard anodized on their exterior surfaces for maximum durability."

* Tactically correct two stage tail cap switch system
* Two independent yet merged lamp/reflector systems provide either 500+ lumens of blinding force option light, or 60 lumens of brilliant general illumination light
* Body is made of Nitrolon, a nearly indestructible aramid composite polymer
* The C900 charger head will accept and charge the flashlight with the battery in place
* Flawless beam, always in focus
* Awesome Self-Defense tool, as it will temporarily stun a threat by directing the beam into the eyes
* The 10X911 system comes complete with the 10X flashlight (with the integrated 500 lumen MN31 Lamp Assembly and the 60 lumen MN30 Lamp Assembly) and a rapid and smart AC/DC charging system
* The 10X000 is the 10X without the charging system

Damn John, that is a nice/wierd looking light. How much?
I couldn't justify buying one. Perhaps if I was a cop or someone in SAR. I think the E2 is a good everyday light.

mayo you jerkoff, you had telling me and my girlfreind talking for 20 minutes on how ridiculous a 2000 dollar flashlight is.

You mean THIS?

Very cool light that I did some testing on awhile back. Now that the bugs are worked out, should be a great user. Think of it as a rechargeable M6 (also pictured). I did a review of it back in April before I found a somewhat major bug. It's now (fingers crossed) fixed and they are starting to ship to fill backorders from LOOOOONG ago.

You can read the full pre-bug review at: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000324

Thanks, Tim. Sorry I misspelled your name. Have a close friend that is one of those 3 "n" Flannagans...

Ah- no problem. The ones I get in the mail are a lot funnier. Flanigain, Flangin, Flungan... and then there's the telemarketers who can't pronounce it- geez.... :)

Thanks for the responses, very informative. Especially the article by Tim.

What I was looking for was a rechargeable that can be left locked into a charger in vehicle. I keep a Stinger on one car and that's a great little "General Purpose" light, but I want something "a little more" for this one. I'm a huge Surefire fan and would prefer to use one of their products for the job. I like the dual mode idea and love that you can switch instantly to 500 lumens (especially since I wouldn't have to listen to those cute little lithiums scream as they get drained)

I'm thinking that in the 60 lumen mode it'll make a great general purpose light, but should I need "A lot of light" for defense purposes or signalling, the 500 lumens would be just the ticket.

I have found a new X10 and the AC/DC charger for $213.

What do ya'll think?

Sounds like you found a distributor posing as a dealer. That's right about dealer cost. Are you sure it came with the chargers? That's about right for the 10x000 which is the light/battery only- no charger.

This is a guy that bought one and still has it in the shrink wrap. Yea, he says it's the model with the charger.

John

Did he just get it this week? If not, it's the original stock with the iffy lamps. They just started to ship again last Thursday. Great price for the full kit in any event. Just make sure it's model number 10X911 and ask when he got it.

Feel free to email me with any questions. Good luck.

I ordered a 10X. It was $220. Shipping this week I am told.

I got to play around with one at a local gun show a while back and it is awesome! Can't wait to compare it to my SL-20 (which I put the SL-35 bulb in).

I always wanted a M6 but am partial to rechargables. To me it is a rechargeable M6.

I also got another battery pack for it because I know I'm going to be playing with that 500 lumen option all the time!
