This summer I taught my son how to throw a knife using my FFBM. He took to it with a lot of enthusiasm and became proficient in short order. I was surprised at just how much abuse the micarta could take as it bounced off of logs and even the occasional rock. These shots were taken on one of our many excursions on the Columbia river.
I am having a hard time with the idea of replacing this knife with the Camp2 chopper simply because the FFBM is a production knife and the Camp2,as of now, is 1 of 5 in existence. What a dilemma.

Thanks everyone, it was a lot of fun on the river this summer.

Maybe I will post photos of the Camp2 flying through the air someday but for now, for me, it is a special knife that will be just for chopping. I'll leave the throwing to the more common production knives.

throwing is sure made easier with a nice heavy longer blade for sure. I love throwing. I do a lot of hawk throwing, and knife throwing. I think the MOAB would be a perfect thrower, because of the mass, and the slow spin from the length.

Great pics of the kid throwing.

I've never actually seen a Battle Mistress flying through the air before.....very cool!
