Here're a couple pics of a spear point bowie I made for my eldest son's 13th birthday. He's packing it right now and can't wait to chop a tree down with it..........only for the sake of science of course
Specs,
-Forged 5160, 1/4 inch thick, 1 1/2 inch wide, 9 3/4 inches long from tip to guard. Etched finish.
-Dyed elk antler handle.......it was all washed out and grey so I colored it and then polished it down a bit........hard to tell from the pics, but it has a bit of a bark fossil ivory look to it.
-Fluted nickle silver spacer......blued in the flutes. Peined NS pin.
-Textured mild steel cap, guard and nut.
-Tooled leather sheath.
As always comments and criticism welcome.
