Hi guys!
I have to order a Bravo 1 knife (3V steel) but its hard to make a choice between Spear Point and Drop Point.
I need your help to choose right knife for me.
Please!
Thank you.:)

I don't think there will be a huge difference, and I would choose which ever YOU think looks better. The only differences I would think is that the spear point would pierce better, however if will also have a slightly weaker tip overall because of the extra material removed when compared with the drop point. Personally I like the look of the drop point better, I have one in A2 w/ Black Micarta.

I doubt the spear point would pierce better, it looks thicker at the tip than the regular blade design. I normally like a spear point knife, but got my regular Bravo 1s and love them.

The spear point is just a ground down bravo 1. I read somewhere that if you buy the standard model and don't like it, you can mail it to them, along with a few bucks for their standard "spa treatment", and they will grind it to a spear point at any time. Same thing with the thumb ramp...

Do yourself a favor Vadim do not read threads just put in an order for you Barkie (I have both normal and drop point and both full height ground and no ramp) BRKT is one of the best semi-custom knife companies out there and you will love the bravo.

It's to bad that you feel that way about Bark River based upon one article. I have a few Bravo 1's and have been using them. The only one that has a chip was dropped apx from 5 feet on to concrete. I think 70% of what people post is sometimes BS. Good luck with your purchase.

Don't listen to what any one person says, either positively or negatively, especially when it comes to Bark River.

Read threads and then decide. Do your research.

Also keep in mind that that was A2 which is certainly not as tough as 3V, and in the end BRKT took care of the problem, I've used mine pretty hard including batoning through knots and this is the A2 version with not even a small chip or roll.

True. But sometimes you research leads you to some forum where people are negative beacause of some isolated experiences. So make sure you do your research well
Just saying
