Here is a collaboration Spearpointed Dagger I had the pleasure of doing.
It has been work done by myself and fellow friend and knifemaker Anders Nilsson.
We will be having this piece with us to the Scandinavian Guild Show in Helsinki Finland on January 6-7th.
We collaborated on the design and Anders did most of the work on the blade including heat treating and etching while I did detailing of the tang, the handle and the sheath.
The blade is Damsteels stainless damascus in Grosse Rosen pattern, bolsters are bearing bronze from an old factory machine.
The scales are Wenge that has been hand brushed to remove the more porous parts of the wood that leaves an interesting look and a very textured finish.
Torx screw fittings are heat coloured to match the bronze bolsters.
The sheath has a few bronze and Damasteel details as well.
Overall length is allmost 20".
Looking forward to seeing some of you there!
Regards
/Magnus
