Well, I did it. My first Kershaw purchase. I drove all over looking for this knife today and all I could find was the Speed Bump. At least I could feel a similar knife in my hand. Everyone tries to push the Spyderco & Benchmade on me as I hit the local stores. Nobody really has anything negative to say about Kershaw, it just seems like they are programmed to talk the other brands. Found a great deal on a brand new one from a store on EBay from Fresno Firearms. Selling it new in the box for less than $100 bucks. Cheapest I could find was at least $117 anywhere else on the web. He's got one left if anyone is interested. Can't wait to get it, but not looking forward to explaining the $100 charge to my better half !!

Well if she is upset about the charge, just show her the AO feature, and how sharp the blade is out of the box, then sing the praises of s30v. She will love it. Actually, she will probably think you have serious issues like by better have thinks I have. Good luck and enjoy your bump.

Thanks, Colog. She already knows I have serious issues!! I'll let her open some of her Creative Memories boxes with it and when it cuts with ease I will say, "See- it was worth it!" I am pumped. I have never owned a knife that costs more than $10- so I feel like I am going from the outhouse to the penthouse.

i know what you mean about the ppl always pushing BM and Spyderco knives. I was at my local bassproshop (ironic aint it?) and i said i loved kershaw. the guy imediatly says "sorry about your luck." it was hard to ignore him and not retaliate! BM is good, but i have seem no dif really in their quality from that of Kershaw. sure they use D2 in alot of their models. i didn't see BM win any of the major awards this year at Blade. Kershaw won a nice chunk. most notably being the Tyrade! that one will be fun to explain the price to the other half! enjoy your bump dude

Conrgats on the purchase. If you liked the feel of the Speed Bump, I think you'll really like the the Spec Bump. The G10 scales really contribute to the solid feel of it.
