Spec Bump S30V

The reason reeeeecurves are harder to sharpen is that you have to stay perpendicular to the edge... almost as if the edge were a series of micro-straight lines... so you have to make a kinda "swooping" motion to achieve it.. a "crock stick" method (like the Sharpmaker) would prolly be the easiest way to achieve it.

I use the Spyderco Sharpmaker. It took a while to get used to it with the blade shape, but I can get it decently sharp now.

Using a convex method makes it easy to sharpen.

Yeah... that's what I do. I don't have a Spec Bump, but I have had some recurves and I use the corners of the Sharpmaker rods and then a strop when I have to touch them up.
