Spec Bump w/bead blasted blade?

In all of the pictures I have seen, the Spec Bump has the black Tungsten DLC coating on the blade. However, after ordering a Spec/Speed Bump about two months ago, it finally arrived, but it wasn't a Spec/Speed. The knife I received was a Spec Bump, with a bead blasted blade finish. Has anyone ever heard of a Spec Bump that does not have the DLC finish? And yes, I am sure it really is a Spec Bump. The Kershaw box was labeled as a Spec, and the blade is stamped as S30V, not Sandvick 13C26. Thanks for any input. :)

I think the first some Spec Bumps with non coated blades leaked out after the first S30V models came out. I remember something like that happening...it may have been S30V blades on the old G10 pattern handles though.

O.K., now I am really confused. It says Spec Bump on the box, but the part number printed on both the box and the blade is the number for the Spec/Speed. Yep, a Spec/Speed with S30V blade with the old style G10 grips. Well, I don't really know what to call it now, but I am certainly happy with it. I got it from The Blade Shop, part number K1596SVBL. I would recommend calling them before placing an order though. Like I mentioned, it took two months for this one to come. Maybe Thomas will jump in here and clear things up.

cool… I've bought spec/speed bump cuse I abhorr coating… Sandvik is fine, but yours variant is just perfect!

KFLEISIG, I have to say that the S30V blade in your Spec/Speed Bump is a lasering mistake. This particular Bump variation are all indeed made from Sandvik 13C26. It looks as though a handful of these knives left the factory marked with S30V when in fact they are not. Sorry for the mistake and confusion.

Oh well, S30V would have been cool, but I can't complain about Sandvik either. Thanks for another informative post Thomas. :)
