How durable is this knife? I've just seen pics from another thread and was wondering about the lock strength and general comfort? How is it different from axis lock? I ask because thanks to a wonderful revision in lock knife laws blades that can open with a touch of a button(like most axis locks I've had) are a no no. I didn't know if the arc lock is a bit more stiff(like acceptable) and also if you would consider this a hard use knife. Never own a SOG folder before or handled one as everytime I visit knife stores..they're out.

I have a pentagon elite II same design just different blade and bigger. it is the strongest folder I've played with. it is unassisted, but damn will it snap open. I'm not sure if I could tighten mine up enough to get it to not flick. I like the handle shape, the only one that I have that is better is an old timer with the Safe-T rubber grip. it is a very simple design. That all said, it is my go-to woods folder. Maybe once I have money again I'll be dropping the hammer on a spec I now that they are VG-10 iirc. or maybe two, cuz I'm sure my girlfriend will steal it. oh, life is tough...

The Arc Lock is great, but it's very similar to the Axis Lock in that if you hold the release button, the blade will swing open completely unimpeded.

In other words, if the Axis Lock is a no-go due to your knife laws, the Arc Lock is a no-go as well.
