spec elite opinions ?

greetings all,
just wanted some input from you forum folks on the spec elite 1. feels nice in the hand but was wondering on it's performance and track record. i'm not a "hard use" user but wanted some feedback on you guys that have used it for awhile. thanks much and best regards to all.

I've never used it but Jeff Randal reviewed it for TK, whatever thats worth. Pictures and testimony seemed favourable.

I started carrying one about two months ago and have been really happy with it. It is very fast and smooth opening, came freaky sharp and had no wiggle or play. The Spec Elite renewed my faith in SOG lol.

I have the PE II, the SE I's bigger sibling. Great knife. Have played with the SE I in a store and it was as nice as the PE II only smaller with a different blade shape. I don't think you can go wrong with the SE I.

I guess I would call it a poor man's 710, but I really don't mean that negatively. It's a similar, though maybe a bit less refined, design and has a lot of the same merits. Packs a ton of cutting edge in, small and light package, and I axtually really like the arc lock a bit better than the axis lock when they get it right.
