I bought the sheath thinking it may work for a Ratmandu - it was too big, obviously designed for 1/4" and thicker blades. I thought I could remold, but this particular model has the the plastic liner attached to the cordura via a grommet which makes it unremovable. Maybe the small version of the combat model would have worked better.
Plus side - fits the Recon Scout almost perfectly. Even though its unmolded, the knife slides in real nice. It will hold the knife in upside down, but will come out if shaken (without the snap that is - nice and secure w/the snap)
The sheath itself seems pretty good quality for the price and the modular design is why I purchased it in the first place. Imo, this would be a perfect sheath for the Recon Scout if one could replace the inner plastc liner with the factory, positive click, liner that came with the Recon Scout.
