Spec Ops Combat Master 6...

The Spec Ops Combat Master 6 (or short,) says it will fit blades up to six inches. - With the Rodent 6 being 3/8ths longer, will it fit alright?
 
I think it did,I had a stock R6 and used spec master before I got kydex sheath
 
Might need to remove the retaining screw at the bottom. I have fit knives that were slightly too big that way. The plastic stays in place fine without it.
 
New Combat Masters don't have the screw. It's held in with velcro at the top.

Yes, and is dang near impossible to remove the liner. Well, actually, for me, completely impossible, so far...

Haven't seen the spec ops with the velcro holding the insert, but have dealt with difficult to reach velcro on holsters. You might try using a popcicle stick (or two or three whatever it takes to keep the velcro apart) to separate the velcro and remove the liner.
 
Use a flat thin metal ruler to separate the Velcro between the liner and the sheath. Comes right out
