I know there have been a lot of threads about this sheath but I would still like some opinions of it.

I am looking at replacing the stock BK-2 sheath with the short combat master but I have a few questions.

1: It looks like it will still flop over like the stock sheath, is this true?

2: I don't know much about Kydex, but from the info I have read, it will not dull the blade, correct?

3: About how big is the pocket on the front? Big enough for a multi-tool / fire steel?

i have that sheath for a swamp rat knife and it fits the bk2. doesn't really flop too much. can't really comment that it may dull your blade, i haven't experienced this, and the pocket will fit a mulitool, fire steel easily

1. It will flop without the retention strap

2. It wont dull the blade

3. it is designed as a magazine pocket so a multi tool and firesteel should fit depeding on the size of the ferro.

This, though it doesn't flop as much as the stock sheath and is hell and gone better than it. I have 4 of them, well 3 now, but they are nice.

Thanks for the input, just ordered one, $40 didn't seem like a bad price.

Can't wait too stop using the crappy stock sheath, I hate that thing with a passion.

Where'd you score it at that price? Cheapest I found was around $56.

Edit: Might have been looking at the long one. Just found the short version around that price point on a couple of sites.

Unfortunately they won't ship it outside the US (story of my life). Exploring other options. Really like the look of this sheath.

I like the nylon / kydex insert, I don't really like how high most kydex sheaths sit on your belt, and i'm not a big fan of leather so this looks almost perfect.

They are nice sheaths, and if this is your first Spec-Ops product, they will be getting most of your paycheck in a few months unless you are careful. It might interfere with your Becker collecting.

Also, They do occaisionally put them on sale. I seem to remember $25 shipped for the short ones a few months back. Only one color was offered.

I got me some spec ops and love it. Carry a leatherman wave in the pouch.

I use the Spec-Ops Combat Master sheath for my BK-2. Simply put......love it. I cant get an Altoids Tin into the pouch, but it fits my Leatherman Wave and firesteel.

Of course, I have an affinity for Spec-Ops gear. I own quite a few of their products (translation...tons of pouches...even a wallet). If your looking for a nice assault pack, I recommend the "T.H.E. Pack" (I own 2).
