Spec ops mini for ad?

Has anyone here used a Spec Ops Mini sheath for a smaller Busse? In particular, I'm wondering about fit on an older standard AD with a 3.5"/.18 coated blade. The Mini sheath is supposed to fit knives with up to 4.5" blades. Given the extra inch, I don't want the AD rattling around in there, even with the retention strap. My RMD fits pretty well in a small Spec Ops Combat Master, but I haven't read anything here about Busse compatibility with the Mini model. Any help would be appreciated. And, of course, there's always the custom Kydex option...

I dont any experience with the mini but I think it would be overkill. Would add quite a bit of un needed bulk compared to a kydex. I do love specs ops sheaths but I don't think I would use one on anything shorter than the small.
