Spec Ops Pack

If you are looking for discrete, check out the many commerial packs out there.
Go to an REI and they even let you load it up and wear it around the store for a couple hours. TNF, Jansport, Mountainsmith,etc.

My pack is an older Eureka that can't seem to be killed no matter how hard I use it.
 
Actually, it's funny you should mention the Spec Ops PACK. We just got one in today in Desert Tan, and after a cursory examination this design really impresses the hell out of me. Picture your typical school backpack - then put it on steriods. It looks rugged as hell, and the tan color certainly get's away from the "tactical tactical tactical" look that puts me off when looking at daily carry gear.

There are plenty of slots for hydration / com ports, lots of strapping, and nice padding in the shoulders. I might actually keep this one for myself and do some testing on it.

Spark, how water repellent is it. (Does that make any sense?)
And will you be getting any in black ? (Tan justs gets too dirty too fast) If so, put me down for one :D .
 
It's not waterproof, but it is pretty water repellant (like most nylon packs). We will get some in black eventually - depending on Spec-Ops brand makign them with the war on.

Spark, if possible, when you get a black or olive drab one hold it for me. I'll wait for you to get them in, unless instructed otherwise.
