Spec Ops question

I am looking to buy a Spec Ops sheath for my ESEE 6, which has a 6.5" blade. I have been reading conflicting reviews online. Some say the short (6") sheath will fit up to a 6.5" blade, which would be preferable, if it is true, while others say that you need the larger (8") sheath to accommodate the ESEE 6. Has anyone here purchased one of these sheaths for an ESEE 6? If so, which one, and how was the fit?
