i finally picked one of these SPEC-OPS BRAND buttpacks up.its called the S.O.B. for SOLDIERS OPTIMIZED BUTTPACK for those unfamiliar.
i have no plans on using it as a buttpack.i threw a shoulder strap on it which is working great and have it pulling some B.O.B. duty.this thing has really impressed me and i plan on getting a second.
front:
back:
inside:
as you can see the inside is lined with a bright yellow rubber like material to help combat that "black hole" effect you get with gear.it really lights it all up inside and aids in being able to see inside and find what your looking for.it also serves to water proof it that much more with the lining being rubber.
here is a comparison pic of it next to a MARATAC bag from COUNTYCOMM.COM so you get an idea of its size.the two side pouches on the S.O.B. are both capable of holding 4 M16 mags.
this pack seems a bit big to be used as a butt pack imo and works much better with a shoulder strap.i would definitely recommend a "Y" or "H" harness to help stabilize and hold it up if used as a buttpack.
i really cant get enough of this thing.it is my favorite piece of SPEC-OPS BRAND gear and i have owned almost everything they have made so far.
