Hi Guys,

I have a Camillus BK77 with the Spec-Ops sheath. The sheath has a plastic insert which is bent in the middle about 10 degrees.

Is it supposed to be that way?

It is marginally ok. The bent insert does serve to keep the blade from rattling, etc., but it is pretty tight and a little annoying because of difficulty sheathing and removing the blade.

Any thoughts?

Scott.

I do not think you should have any difficulty when removing the knife. Personally I don't but, I can see a slight curve it's very small probably less than ten degrees and it doesn't create difficulty when removing a knife. I'm pretty sure the curve was caused through extensive use while being tied down to my left leg.

I have a BK7 in the sec ops sheath, and when i first got it it ratteled alot so i took out the plastic insert and droped it in boiling water a few sec. I took it out and placed the blade in it (before it cools), and put it between two towles, and pressed down on it.(untill it cools)..It now fits like a glove.
Im not a expert, but it worked for me. It should take the bend out. (Diff knives but the same princ)
