Okay so first of all, thanks to Lexi and Garth for my TGLB with black finish and orange g10 scales!! It is amazing. Lexi, you have the best customer service I have ever seen, and thank you for keeping me up to date on my order. Garth, thanks for answering the millions of questions I have emailed you with about future knife projects. Just don't forget about the cnc department question:D I cannot wait to order some custom knives from you here soon!! Okay so my question is, my spec ops sheath that I received with my TGLB is EXTREMELY tight on my knife, and it takes all I have to get the knife in and out of the sheath. Not to mention it seems to scrape the heck out of the black finish on my knife. It is frustrating me, so does anyone have any recommendations as to what I can do to fix this problem? I love the sheath just wish it wasn't so damn tight. The way I see it, if you cannot get the knife out with little effort, then you might run into trouble in a sticky situation. Thanks for the help everyone!!

Try heating it in the oven for a couple minutes and stretching it to make it a little longer.

There is also a person on that evil auction site that make pre-fitted plastic inserts for the Spec Ops sheaths for various different Busse blades.

azwelke makes a custom insert, right here on the forums. See this

He's currently offering free shipping too.

Take the liner out of the sheath, dip in in almost boiling water, stick your knife back in and let it cool. Bingo it fits.

Well, the blow dryer idea didn't work. Guess I will have to try the boiling water idea next. Turns out, when I removed the kydex insert from the spec ops sheath, the kydex was bent all to hell. If boiling it doesn't shape it right for me you think spec ops will send me a new kydex insert for free, even though I received the sheath through Busse??

I had the same issue on mine. Someone assured me they'd send a replacement no problem. I'd try that.

Awesome, thanks Robert. I sure hope they would, I think it might be bent beyond repair, but I might try the boiling water idea soon just for kicks. I will contact the company tomorrow.
