Spec-ops sheath questions

I've recently gotten a BIBB and am wondering how it will fit in a large Spec-ops sheath. Also, does anyone know whether or not the outer storage pouch can be removed from the Spec-ops sheaths? I like the overall design but would prefer a more streamlined package. I'd consider going custom but I haven't come across any sheath maker who could make a BIBB sheath without me sending them my knife. Thanks in advance.

On my 3 Spec-Ops, the outer pouch is NOT removable.

It fits a SH and a Hell Razor fine. Tension is via two "darts" pressed into the back of the kydex. So the blade doesn't have to be as wide as the entire sheath as many kydex sheaths are.

It's tight on the HR and SH, but they fit fine. I don't know the specs on the BIBB. I'd be worried the front-end might hang up a bit. But I dunno.

Thaks for the info. The BIBB has a 7 3/4" blade so it should fit the large Spec-Ops sheaths. I think I'm going to give them a try. I hate to have to ship my knew Busse away even for a short time.

The problem with the large spec-ops sheath is the width. My HHFSH is sitting in mine right now minus the kydex insert. I did bake it in the oven, but it eventually stretched to breaking point. So, this sheath is designed to accomodate up to a 1 7/8" blade, with the insert intact. I hope this helps. Oh, and the pouch is not removable without much modification to the sheath.

Thanks for the tip. I think the Spec-Ops sheath will work with my BIBB. The width at the widest point is 1 5/8" so it should fit okay.
