Spec Ops sheath

I recently picked up the Survival Sheath from Spec-Ops in the short size. It fits the SJ TAC but only just. There's a screw at the bottom of the sheath that retains the "kydex" liner. As the sheath arrived, the very tip of the blade would just touch the screw. The screw is brass, so I don't think it would be a problem anyway, but by forming the "kydex" so the spine of the blade snugged up against the side moved the tip away from the screw.
On the other hand, I'd recommend against the Survival model. The pocket might be better on the long size, but it's just too small, costly, and hard to access on the short.

This is the 8" one so theres about an inch leftover at the bottom.

I have the short one and molded the insert, but I still had a little nick in the steel from the screw, so I removed it and used zipties, works well, but doesn't look the greatest.........
