i was wondering if i should get a spec-ops sheath for my ontario sp-1 or my becker bk-2. I was thinking id get it for the sp-1 since the sheath it comes with sucks. Also if anyone has a spec-ops sheath for there sp-1 i like to know how if fits.
thanks

I had a spec ops sheath for my srk and while it was super strong and very well made, I felt it was a little bulky. It depends on what you are going to use it for I guess. I am going with a JRE custom leather sheath.

I bought a SpecOps shorty for an Ontario SP46 which is pretty broad for a 6" blade. The edge would rub inside the plastic insert whenever I put it in or took it out. I removed the plastic insert and tossed it in pot of boiling water for a minute. Then I was able to re-shape the insert (folded in a dish towel to prevent finger burns) and customize the fit. If you screw up you can re-boil it and start over. As said above, the sheath is bulky but very rugged. High quality item.

no complaints from a combat master user myself

it is bulky but hold my BK2 very good and has plenty of storage options for field use

well worth the 50 bucks or so to get one
