Need some help, I just bought a spec ops survival sheath for my NMSFNO. The problem is the kydex sheath that comes inside is not wide enough. I cut one side and it still is a very tight fit. Are there any kydex sheath makers out there that have a kydex sheath that will fit inside the spec ops survival sheath?

Any help would be greatly appreciated:)

Try putting the kydex part in boiling water till it softens,,,,then stuff the blade in . Careful not to melt it too much. This should shape it to fit.

I don't own a NMSFNO but it looks to me like it would be a super tight fit to try that trick... I did it on a Chopweiler once but the NMSFNO just seems a lot bigger.

Anyway, let us know if you get it to work.

Put some tape over the edge of the blade first, it's going to have to stretch the kydex and you dont want to cut it in the process, plus it's good to have a little wiggle room so you dont wear the edge every time you sheath the knife.

The skinny ASH fits perfectly, and I've heard the CG ASH1 (0.3"?) can be fit as well, and they both have very wide blades, so the NMSFNO can probably make the cut too.

It's already been as you said,,,cut,,,,,,can't really do much worse to it. Taping the edge might help,,,,,but reshaping in hot water would certainly help...like the man said, as it is , it does'nt fit. I'd give it a shot before buying an entirely new liner!!!!!!

I gave up on stuffing the NMSFNO in the SpecOps Combat Master sheath. Instead I put my 2005 Collector RAT-7 in it and used the Collector's rather oversized sheath for the NMSFNO.
