Dear Members,

I have a "Special Announcement" if you are attending the SHOT Show. My good friend and comrade-at-arms Scottie Reitz will be at our booth signing copies of his just released book, "The Art of Modern Gunfighting" by Scott along with his wife and fellow instructor Brett McQueen.

This is a must have book for anyone professional or civilian who carries a gun for self-defense (or offense if that be the case). He will have copies for sale (we will later on our site) and you can get a chance to chat with one of the best instructors in the world. Scottie and Brett run ITTS - International Tactical Training Seminars and Scott during his tenure with LAPD both SWAT, Metro and as an instructor, developed many of the techniques and tactics now used by Law Enforcement agencies throughout the world.

We will be located at Booth #10679 in the Law Enforcement Section.

See You There,

Ernest R. Emerson

The forward is by the former LAPD Chief of Police, and it's not the forward that's advertised on the jacket, but the endorsement "A must read for anyone using deadly force."

Most who buy a book read the jacket first, and endorsements are usually collected in the first pages or on the jacket. Writing is an art, but publishing is a business, and it's all about selling the book. Nothing wrong with including a reference on the jacket or front cover to the authority that wrote the forward and endorsed the book.

I'm thinking he means it should read "Foreword". :o
