I would seriously like a special edition BK-9
Same blade shape but:
- Polished blade
- CPM 3V steel :D (ok I can dream right)
- Micarta handles
- .25''+ thickness
that would be seriously nice...

.25" would be a beast! I'd take it in 1095 Cro Van, unpolished but un coated.

why? what is SOOOOOOOOOO magical about .25+? why not 3/8? why not .45! i'm not going to imagine the balance would be good anymore, or the cutting.

why why why!

micarta handles is easy :)

verrrrry expensive. mmm. well, you know, when they're bored :)

with 3V, there wouldn't be any need to be .25", or even as thick as it is now. Would be a hell of a lot more expensive though.

might as well just supply a block of steel with a handle ;)

Hey guys I never said I was sane :D
This was just a random thought and I seriously think it would make a beast of a chopper.
Ok I'll settle with .20''
I can be reasonable sometimes...

Madison Avenue has spent millions getting the idea that 'more is better' into our heads! Bigger, faster, sleeker, sexier!

seems like every 4-6 weeks, someone want a .25+ knife. very specific ;) i figure they must be visit the chicken spinner forums...

I personally think a .25" is way too thick for the '9. That would be a tad cumbersome to carry. The '2 is the only knife I own that thick.

But hey man, I'm not gonna rain on your parade! You like what you like!!

The BK9 is just right, tried & true many times over. I do not get why 0.25" even sells as a knife. Just sharpen a lawn mower blade if you need to swing a 0.25" blade. Just my 2 cents.

Dainty knives are for slicing tomatoes and have no business in the woods.

Leave your pairing knives in the kitchen where they belong.

Now, there's an idea... off to Home Depot.:D

BK2- 5" long .25" thick (stripped)

BK7- 7" long .1876 (Painted)

BK9- 9" long .1875" (stripped)

Combine all three. If you can, show you're work.
