Hi Uncle Bill, do you think it'd be possible to special order a Bura M-43 Hanshee Hybrid villager but with slight modifications to the design? Here is a pic which I swiped from your site:
As seen in the pic, including that beautiful old-style bolster in steel (no brass!), but with the following crucial changes:
- blade thickness between 1/4" and a little less than 5/16", no thicker, period
The idea here is 'light blade', not crowbar. It will NOT be used to chop up concrete blocks or cut old cars in half. It will be an example of a khukuri designed to be a weapon.
- 18" overall length
- horn handle (5" length, not including bolster). I can't stand the puny handles on the M-43s...they do not accomodate my hands at all.
I don't care if it is not polished to H.I. standards, because, if I understand it, villagers are cheaper precisely because they're not made to look pretty. I don't really care about looks - what matters is that the khukuri be a 'keeper'.
